Grinding Discs for Forging and Casting Applications
Established in 1956, CGW has gained international recognition for its broad range of
high-quality bonded and coated abrasive products. CGW specializes in
grinding discs for blades and other products for the aerospace and
turbine industry. Since the 2000 opening of a new automated facility
dedicated to the manufacture of cutting and grinding wheels, CGW has
made great strategic advances in this market. Today CGW supplies
abrasive wheels to 56 countries wordwide, where they are a popular
choice in welding and building applications, as well as in railway
construction and the aerospace and petroleum industries.
CGW, in cooperation with a leading aerospace forgings company, has
recently completed development of a line of grinding discs designed
specifically for use on a variety of materials and applications typical
of work on forgings for jet engines and other aerospace products.
These discs, like CGW’s other products, are sold worldwide and compete
successfully with products of leading European abrasives manufacturers.
